The Game
Detectorists - The Big Rally is an engrossing family board game for 2-6 players that takes you on a journey to find buried treasures. Players take turns moving around the game board that is a series of fields using their metal detectors to scan the ground for hidden objects. When a player detects something they unearth it with their special magnetic spade and add it to their Finds Bag. It may be a good Find worth valuable points or it could be worthless rubbish! The player with the highest points total at the end of the game wins. Easy enough but, tread carefully! You’ll face many different challenges along the way before you get to be called The Big Rally’s Best Detectorist!

The idea for the Detectorists - The Big Rally came to me overnight as these things sometimes do lol but, because we are a family of experienced metal detectorists and all of us also fans of board games I immediately realised its potential and after some great feedback from my wife Avril ❤️ I decided to follow it through.
I believe the key to Detectorists is it has a great theme and story which I’ve kept very true to life combining the anticipation 🤞(a new field to explore wow!) 😮. The frustration 😩 (when you find very little there) and, all the myriad of things that detectorists come across in this fascinating, treasure seeking hobby. I’ve designed the game Detectorists to combine those important key points together with skill, strategy and luck and every time we’ve played it at some stage we’ve burst out laughing! I hope you have as much fun playing as we’ve had making it.
